I Can See It In Your Eyes, You’re Ready For Another Cards & Songs Post

I hate to let more than one day go by without posting something, but nothing in my drafts folder is ready to go… And that’s where these “Playlists and unrelated cards” posts come into play. I come up with a playlist theme, gather some images of cards, mix well, bake in a 375 degree oven for 8-10 minutes, and serve.

So today’s theme is songs with “eye” or “eyes” in the title. Normally this would be a Top 5 or Top 10 list, but there were so many songs I liked that I’m just dumping them out here…

Joe Shlabotnik’s Top 28 Songs With “Eye” In The Title (in alphabetical order):

…And I’m going to wrap this up with one card that is appropriate for the musical theme, the 1972 card of Ross “Crazy Eyes” Grimsley

…and this is where you shake your head and rattle off the seven obvious songs I neglected to mention.  Give it to me with both barrels!

  1. “Eye In the Sky” Alan Parsons Project
I think the Smashing Pumpkins have a song titled simply “Eye”
Oh, and here’s an obscure one, but a little-unknown favorite of mine Polarbear has a song called “Shark Eye”

  2. I am a news and sports man on radio but was thinking of EYE OF THE TIGER by SURVIVOR, often played at live sporting events, and one of our on-air music people figured there would be a great many others with ‘ EYE ‘ contained therein, so here are some he thought about for a time and mentioned –
ANGEL IN MY EYES – ANOTHER’S EYES – BETTY DAVIS EYES – CAN’T TAKE MY EYES OFF OF YOU – COTTON EYE JOE – DON’T IT MAKE MY BROWN EYES BLUE – I ONLY HAVE EYES FOR YOU – SMOKE GETS IN YOUR EYES – THE LIGHT IN YOUR EYES –

Suppose there will be many others, as well, proving there is a lot of music out there with various different words that could be used in further lists of this kind.

    • For me, “Eye Of The Tiger” is one of those songs where the “Weird Al” parody has superseded the original, so that’s probably why I didn’t think of it. I looked at your list and said “Oh, of course!” several times, and then realized I forgot “Eyes Of A Child” by the Moody Blues and “Eyes Like Yours” by Shakira… We could probably go on like this for weeks.
